If you want to be able to power your way over traffic AND save gas, your day has come. Wired reports on a new hybrid hummer being built for the army:

"The vehicle is powered by a small, three-cylinder diesel engine and two hybrid motors. It would cost about $20,000 to manufacture and could replace a $65,000 Humvee, Almand said. The vehicles are expected to get about 50 miles per gallon, compared to the Humvee's current 11 mpg."

Regarding Hybrid Cars - Check out the gas savings calculator at to see how

much you can save with a hybrid vehicle. Most people are prety surprised at how quickly you recoup the "extra" cost,

especially with rising gas prices.

If you are interested in Hybrid vehicles there is a lot more information there as well.
